From Monday 4th May we will be returning to a normal schedule of clinics bar some additional measures to protect both your safety and ours.

Where possible and medically appropriate we will continue to manage some appointments via telephone contact.  For those patients that we feel need to see us for a face to face consultation please note we must ensure that there is a limited number of people in our waiting room and therefore we will not be seeing the usual number of patients for each clinic session.

Please rest assured we are strictly adhering to the Ministry of Health guidelines and have robust processes in place to ensure all of the required measures are met.  We would also ask that you only bring a maximum of one support person with you when you come to your appointment.  This person will be asked to sign a register for contact tracing purposes.

We do ask that prior to attending you answer our screening questions and do report any illness symptoms to our staff. Additionally if you have concerns about travelling to our rooms for an appointment please let our staff know - all the Orthopaedic Surgeons are mindful of balancing the needs for review against the risks of you leaving your "bubble".

We do need to continue to work within the current Level 3 guidelines and therefore may need to priorotorise aspects of your care according to your needs and general medical condition.

Finally we would also like to inform you that Crest Hospital is also resuming more normal services this coming week albeit with similar restrictions.

Be kind and stay safe
